Greetings!

I am an assistant professor in the Geography Department at Ohio State University.

I earned my Ph.D. in Sociology with designated emphases in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies and Feminist Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz in June 2023. I am currently revising my dissertation, “Carlota’s Children: Fugitivity, Healing and a Future for Youth in Baltimore and Beyond,” into a book manuscript. This ongoing project investigates Black girl subjectivities, Black feminist leadership, community-based education, and travel in the African Diaspora.
